Thank you for teach and guide us in understanding Japanese language, culture and their value. We are fondly about Japanese more and more. Sometimes, the value that sensee shared with us makes me pondered and deeply thinking about our religion, Islam. And I am very grateful to have such a lesson that keep me moving towards the Lord.

Hontou ni arigatou gozaimasu, sensee!

One of my dream to wear Yukata

Alhamdulillah, I got an opportunity to wore the yukata at Japanese culture day as the last customer with my friends. It is simple and pretty. Somehow I found myself as Japanese women that very polite and gently. πŸ˜†

I am so grateful to have a chance to wore that yukata. The yukata is can be wear in any season and time. You can wear it casually everywhere. Different from kimono. Kimono can wearing in specific event and it is very expensive.

Even though we can wear it in a few minutes, but it is like successful mission because I already grant one of my wish.

 Thank you.

Kimono Lecture and Demonstration

Kimono Lecture and Demonstration

The picture above is the Kimono demonstration that held in DKP, USIM. The Kimono demonstration was lead by the famous Kimono maker in Japan. The event was started in  the morning and it was very excited and I feel very nervous at the same time. Not longer after that, the event begin and and it was super exciting by audience that come to support this event.

During the demonstration, some of my friends became a model to wore the kimono. That was super lucky for them because they wore the kimono in instant rather than they come to Japan.  And the most important, those kimono are super expensive and it cost thousand to million yen.😨

The special thing is one of the kimono was made by chocolate powder. Have you imagine it?. The idea is really interesting and make people wondering how can they make it possibly.  Kimono with chocolate powder?, Wow! Super cool!

what day is today?, Today is my birthday! ^-^

Sweet 22, Ami-chan!

Next, we will move the next chapter. This chapter is about day and also we introduced our birthday date.

So, before that, we have to know to say day in Japanese right?

  • Monday =  getsuyoobi
  • Tuesday = kayoobi
  • Wednesday = suiyoobi
  • Thursday = mokuyoobi
  • Friday = kinyoobi
  • Saturday = doyoobi
  • Sunday = nichiyoobi
My birthday is on Saturday! and I am Malaysian girl.😚 Because my birth date is in Malaysian day!

The Malaysian day  in 16th September. So, I will to say my birthday and birth date in Japanese language.

Watashi no tanjoubi  sen kyuu hyaku kyuu ju go nen ku-gatsu juu roku nichi desu.

My birthday is 16th on September 1995.😍

In Japanese, we put the year at the front and follow by month and the last is the day of the birthday. You can see at the bold words.

Let's memorize together the day in Japanese!

What time is it??

Hello,minna -san!

We move to the next lesson about, "What time is it?" or in Japanese, nan ji desu ka?
It is simple and easy to remember. It might be burden  for who are not really used to it. But, you can find it easy and you can remember well.

Okay, i will introduced you the time in Japanese.

  • 1.00 = ichi-ji
  • 2.00 = ni-ji
  • 3.00 = san-ji
  • 4.00 = yo-ji
  • 5.00 = go-ji
  • 6.00 = roku-ji
  • 7.00 = shichi-ji
  • 8.00 = hachi-ji
  • 9.00 = ku-ji
  • 10.00 = juu-ji
  • 11.00 = juu-ichi ji
  • 12.00 =  juu-ni ji

The word ji  is refer to hour. So,that means ichi-ji is one hour. If you want to say half, for example, 9.30 p.m. You can use han for a half.
  • 9.30 = ku ji han

If you want to say 10 minutes,

  • 10 minutes = juu- pun/fun

Now, let's make a little bit conversation.

Ami-chan : Jiha-san, nan ji ni okimasu ka?

Jiha-san : Go ji han ni okimasu.

Ami-chan : Aah,..hayai desu ne.

Jiha-san : Sou desu yo ne.

From this conversation, Aah,..hayai desu ne. Hayai means early or fast. It is an adjectives. Other adjectives that you can use is, isogashii, osoi and more.

Watashi no ie wa.....

Konnichiwa minna san!

This time i will introduce you about types of house by Japanese people. It have several types of house.

ikkodate

Apaato

Kondominiamu

Rinku-house

semidii

In class, we all have been gave tasked by sensee to ask friend about what kind of our house and where do we live. So we have to introduced it in japanese language.

watashi wa johooru sundeimasu. watashi no ie wa semidii desu. kazoku to sunde imasu. Watashi no ie wa atarashikute hiroi desu.

The meaning is:

I'm  live at Johor. My house is semedi. I live with my family. My house is not new but is wide.

I put the verb at the end of the sentence. So you can say is it your house wide or narrow, new or old and big or small. You can say, " my house is small but its bright. Or you can say, watashi no iee chiisai demo akarui desu!

Interest right?

Play with Haiku :XD

Haiku ☝

Assalamualaikum and hello everyone!

I will continue my sharing with you guys! .

Next will be haiku!πŸ˜†

WHAT IS HAIKU?

Haiku is a traditional form Japanese poetry. Haiku poems made by 3 lines. The first and last line have 5 syllables and the middle line have 7 syllables. The lines rarely rhyme.

We made Haiku together in our class in Malay version. Its very fun and interesting.😊 But we all learned and done well. Everyone can make haiku well. Even the very funny one.

Haiku Malay version that I make is

Ami nak balik

Lamanya dah tak balik

Rumahku jauh

This malay haiku just popped out in my mind because i'm just really miss my home and my family. But, it kind of released my mind somehow.

The picture above are the picture me and my friends wrote the haiku by ourselves in Japanese.
It is interesting and quite tough because we have to find the best syllables to match with the words.
I have some of my haiku that i made by myself. It is not the best, but I try to make it simply and nice.

The first one is:

Okaa san

Boku wa daisuki

hontou ni

Second:

Tomodachi ga

Daijina hito wa

Sugoi desu

Third:

Futari no wa

Daijina hito wa

Haha to chichi

Fourth:

Umi to sora

Tori no tsubasa wo

Subarashii

😎

hehe. Of course you can try by yourself. its fun!. enjoy it!

Tabemono >

Sushi handmade by Michiru-san a.k.a RaihanπŸ˜‹
Oishi sou!

Lesson learned 5. It is about nani ga suki desu, in English, what do you like?. This part I want to tell about tabemono. It is called food. Such as, rice, meat, fish, vegetable and fruits.

Lets have a  little conversation practice 😊

Hajimemashou.

  •  Michi-san : Ami-chan, nani ga suki desu ka?

Ami-chan   : Yasai to niku suki desu.
  • Ami-chan : Michi-san wa?
  • Michi-san : Watashi wa pan to yooguruto suki desu.

"suki desu" refer to that you like the food. If you don't like the food, you can say, "suki janai"

For example, watashi wa tamenegi suki janai. The meaning is I don't like onion.

Actually, same goes to if you want to ask your friend to drink. as you can see, when comes to eat, tabemasu, if drink, nomimasu. Just change the verb and the drink.😊

watashi wa kazoku no hontou ni daisuki desu

MY LOVELY FAMILY

WATASHI NO KAZOKU WA NANA NIN DESU

This is my family photo in 2015 when Hari Raya was celebrated after one month fasting. I have three brothers and a sister and of course my beloved parents. I have  introduced about my family in Japanese language in my class. Let me give some example how to introduce your family in nihon go.😎

konnichiwa. Watashi no kazoku wa nana nini desu. Haha to Chichi desu. Ani wa san nin , ane wa hitori soshite watashi desu. Choonan to sannan no shigoto wa kaishain desu. Jinan no shigoto wa jieegyoo desu. Sannan no shigooto wa kyooshi desu soshite atashi wa gakusee desu. Haha to Chichi wa futari no nenkin de seekatsu-shite imasu. watashi wa kazoku no hontou ni daisuki desu.πŸ’–πŸ’“
